A curious whisky that although started its life in Scotland and matured in Bourbon hogsheads cannot be called a Scotch Whisky. This is because it was transported to Jerez in Spain to be finished in oloroso casks. Unfortunately the company went bust and the whisky got forgotten for 9 years ageing away in the oloroso casks. The curiousity of this bottling has made it somewhat of a cult whisky and rather collectable. The whisky itself has received mixed reviews, but Jim Murray scored this 92 in his 2013 Whisky Bible.
