Masataka Taketsuru is often referred to as the 'Father of Japanese Whisky'. Having been an apprentice in Scotland at the Longmorn and Hazelburn distilleries; Masataka returned to Japan and was tasked with helping build the Suntory Yamazaki Distillery. In 1936 Yoichi Disttillery began production, and 4 years later in 1940 the first 'Nikka'Whisky was launched. Now, Japanese Whisky is in such demand, that distilleries are struggling to supply enough Whisky to meet that demand.  Experience the different flavour profiles from the renowned House of Nikka in this whisky tasting set.
