From Distillerie Warenghem comes this 2016 Limited Edition of the Armorik Maitre de Chai. These are true limited releases with bottle numbers no more than 2500, with this the 2016 release yielding only 1800 bottles. Maître de Chai means “master of the warehouse”, and is the term usually for the master blender of a distillery in France. For this release Warenghem took spirit distilled in 2009 and placed in 1st fill Oloroso casks for the first 4 years, and then they gave the whisky a 2 year finish in refill bourbon casks.
